Alberto studied at the Musik Akademie in Basel with mezzo-soprano Rosa Domínguez, and in 2022 he won Ópera Actual’s award for most promising young artist.
His recent engagements include the roles of Ottone in Handel’s L'incoronazione di Poppea at Oper Köln and at Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia, Speranza in Monteverdi’s L'Orfeo at Teatre Principal de Palma, Legrenzi’s La divisione del mondo in Strasbourg, Nancy, and Versailles, and Monteverdi’s Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria at the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza.
With his ensemble Los Elementos, they recently released their third album of José de Nebra’s Venus y Adonis. In 2023 he conducted Nebra’s Donde hay violencia, no hay culpa with Los Elementos at the Teatro de la Zarzuela, staged by Rafa Villalobos.
He has worked with conductors such as René Jacobs, William Christie, Christophe Rousset, Paul Agnew, Gabriel Garrido, Lionel Sow and Josep Pons, collaborating with ensembles such as Les Arts Florissants, the Freiburger Barockorchester, Trondheim Baroque Orchestra, Les talens Lyriques, la Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, Ensemble Elyma, Musica Fiorita and Ensemble Semura Sonora.
He made his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in the 2021/22 season with Partenope.
