He studied in Gijón, where he was born, and perfected his technique in Florence with Fedora Barbieri. Winner of the second prize at the X International Singing Competition Fundación Guerrero, he made his debut at the Teatro de la Zarzuela with La fille du régiment, a theater where he has returned frequently (Los gavilanes, Jugar con fuego, El barberillo de Lavapiés, El rey que rabió, Alma de Dios).
Among the operas in his repertoire, noteworthy are Tosca, Giovanna d'Arco, Macbeth, Carmen, Don Carlo, Turandot, Le villi, La traviata, La bohème, Lucrezia Borgia, and Beatrice di Tenda, performed on prestigious stages such as Bilbao, Florence, Arena di Verona, Treviso, Bari, Trieste, Teatro Campoamor, Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Macerata, Palma de Mallorca, Cagliari, Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, Warsaw, Catania, or the Savonnlina Festival. He has collaborated with prestigious musical and stage directors (Peter Maag, Alberto Zedda, Antoni Ros Marbà, García Navarro, Paolo Arrivabeni, Pinchas Steinberg, Renato Palumbo, Emilio Sagi, Denis Krief, and Luis Olmo, among others).
He made his debut at the Liceu in the 2015/2016 season with Nabucco.
