A soloist at the State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Mongolia, Amartuvshin is an Honored Artist of Mongolia. In 2012, he won first prize at the 2012 Operalia Competition at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Beijing. The competition jury was chaired by Plácido Domingo.

As an opera singer, he has performed many roles, including Escamillo and Morales in Bizet's Carmen, the title role in Borodin's Prince Igor, Tonio in Leoncavallo's Pagliacci, the title role in Mozart's Don Giovanni, Count Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro, Papageno in Die Zauberflöte, Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia, Frank in Strauss's Die Fledermaus, Onegin in Tchaikovsky's opera, Yeletsky in The Queen of Spades, Amonasro in Aida, Count di Luna in Il trovatore, Baron and Giorgio Germont in La traviata, and Rigoletto in Rigoletto.

He makes his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
