Originally from South Tyrol (Italy), he grew up speaking three languages (Ladin, Italian, and German), a versatility that is reflected in his repertoire. Although he initially studied cello, he later studied voice at the Mozarteum in Salzburg with Horiana Branisteanu and Wolfgang Holzmair, graduating in 2010. From then until 2014, he was a member of the Graz Opera.

Together with his lied partner Daniel Heide, he can be heard in venues such as Wigmore Hall in London, the Schubertiade, the Prinzregententheater in Munich, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Konzerthaus in Vienna, Tanglewood, and the Aspen Music Festival.

His operatic roles include Guglielmo (Così fan tutte), Figaro and the Count Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro), Don Giovanni, Eugene Onegin, Wolfram (Tannhäuser), Ford (Falstaff), and Rodrigo (Don Carlo). Since 2021, he has been an exclusive artist with Deutsche Grammophon.

He makes his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
