Anett Fritsch is one of the leading lyric sopranos of her generation and a regular guest at Europe’s major opera houses. In the current season, she appears at Zurich Opera House as the Daughter in Cardillac and at the Gran Teatre del Liceu as the Countess in Le nozze di Figaro, alongside concerts with Il Giardino Armonico and the Basel Chamber Orchestra.
In 2024/25 she debuted at Stuttgart State Opera as Idamante (Idomeneo) and at La Monnaie as Gutrune (Götterdämmerung), where she had previously sung Freia (Das Rheingold). She also returned to the Volksoper Wien as Hanna Glawari and Frau Fluth. She has collaborated with conductors such as Giovanni Antonini and Alain Altinoglu in venues including the Philharmonie Luxembourg, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, and the Elbphilharmonie.
Career highlights include debuts at Glyndebourne (Rinaldo), Teatro Real (Così fan tutte), and the Salzburg Festival (Don Giovanni). Her repertoire includes roles such as Pamina, Donna Elvira, Countess, Ilia, and Marzelline at houses like La Scala, Paris Opera, and Dutch National Opera.
In concert, she performs works by Bach, Beethoven, and Boesmans with ensembles such as the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin. She studied in Leipzig, won the Bach Competition, and was a member of Deutsche Oper am Rhein.
She made her debut at the 2016/17 season with Le nozze di Figaro.
