Hungarian mezzo-soprano Anna Kissjudit is a prodigious talent, having already debuted the role of Erda under the baton of Christian Thielemann in the new Ring Cycle at the Staatsoper Berlin, where she is an ensemble member. Kissjudit is fast establishing herself as one of the leading Wagnerian singers having already made her debut at Wiener Staatsoper, Teatro alla Scala, Bayreuther Festspiele in these roles.
In the 2025/26 season, Kissjudit will perform as Erda in Tcherniakov’s Ring Cycle at the Staatsoper unter den Linden, conducted by Thielemann. Kissjudit will also return to Bayreuth for her debut as Fricka in their new Ring Cycle production. She will also debut as Ulrica (Un ballo in maschera) at Staatsoper unter den Linden. On the concert platform, Kissjudit will join the Munich Philharmonic for their New Year’s performances of Beethoven Symphony No.9 and the Iceland Symphony Orchestra for Mahler Symphony No.8.
She makes his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
