An evening of music, literature and poetry
Bill Murray and Jan Vogler met during their travels and became friends in New York. Curious about each other’s artistic world and interests, the actor and the cellist soon came up with the idea of working together on a project.
A program that reflects the essence of American values through literature and music. A show that conveys the bridges artists have built between America and Europe. Twain, Hemingway, Whitman, Cooper, Bernstein, Gershwin, and Foster are some of the most influential voices that have shaped generations in America and shown the world the charm, energy, and creative power of the New World.
In 2017, the idea of a joint program premiered. The Hollywood star's love for classical music is recent, and his mastery of language is boundless. All the more reason to look forward to a fascinating encounter between great music and great literature, brought to life by two masters of their craft.
