Caterina was born in Lecco. She began her musical training with the trumpet at the age of eight under M° M. Sommerhalder and started her singing career with the Gruppo Vocale Famiglia Sala.
In 2016, she participated in the RAI UNO program Prodigi, la Musica è vita. In 2018, she won the ASLICO competition (Emerging Category) and the Audience Award. She was selected for the Accademia of Teatro alla Scala in Milan (2019-2020), where she made her debut as Hermione in Die Ägyptische Helena by R. Strauss.
In 2020, she won First Prize at the Portofino Competition, debuted as Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro, and as Adina in L’elisir d’amore at the Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo. In the 2021/22 season, she returned to La Scala for Thaïs (Crobyle), Adriana Lecouvreur (Mad. Jouvenot), and Ariadne auf Naxos (Najade).
Her recent roles include her debut as Nannetta in Falstaff (La Fenice), Giulietta in I Capuleti e i Montecchi (Trieste), and Marie in La fille du régiment (Turin). In Parma and Florence, she performed Verdi’s Quattro pezzi sacri under Daniele Gatti. In Milan, she sang Mozart’s Vesperae solennes de confessore and Haydn’s Paukenmesse under Pablo Heras-Casado, I Puritani in Catania (dir. Chiara Muti), and Lucia di Lammermoor in Bergamo. She made her debut at the Opéra National de Bordeaux with La bohème and at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari with Rigoletto.
She makes her debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
