The stage of the Gran Teatre del Liceu will host the concert of one of the leading figures on the international scene: Nadine Sierra. The soprano, a key figure in the world of opera, is also one of the most beloved singers at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
Nadine Sierra, who has achieved great success in our productions with titles such as Lucia di Lammermoor, Manon, and La traviata, is renowned for her beauty, flexibility, and expressiveness. With a clear and brilliant sound, and an immediately recognizable timbre, she has a remarkable ability to blend technique and emotion. In this concert, she will showcase her talent for bringing each character to life in this gallery of roles filled with subtle nuances.
Pablo Mielgo will take the podium to conduct the Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu. After the overture of Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro, we will enjoy a selection of pieces dedicated to Italian opera, spanning from Donizetti’s bel canto to Verdi’s Romanticism. The journey will continue with some gems from Puccini, Mascagni, Charpentier, and Gounod, concluding the concert with the iconic “I Feel Pretty” from Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story.

Ciutat de Clàssica
Ciutat de Clàssica is a festival born from the collaboration between the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Palau de la Música Catalana, L’Auditori, and several iconic spaces in Barcelona.
The sixth edition of the Ciutat de Clàssica Festival features 18 concerts and operas by internationally renowned artists at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Palau de la Música Catalana, and L’Auditori. At the same time, 23 free concerts performed by local talent are held in unique and unexpected city venues, such as museums, libraries, civic centers, and even historic buildings like Casa Batlló or the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion.
The concert by Nadine Sierra and Pretty Yende is part of the Ciutat de Clàssica 2025 program.
