On the occasion of the performances of The Cunning Little Vixen by Leoš Janáček, which will take place at the Gran Teatre del Liceu next September, we invite you to delve into this fascinating work through a lecture by Antoni Colomer, music critic and regular contributor to Amics del Liceu.
Considered one of the most unique works of the Czech composer, The Cunning Little Vixen combines lyricism, humor, and poetry to reflect on the cycle of life and the relationship between nature and the human condition. With music full of vitality and orchestral colors, Janáček creates a magical universe where animals and humans share the stage.
This production, directed by Barrie Kosky, offers a fresh and stimulating approach to this 20th-century classic, highlighting its visual charm and theatrical emotion.
Antoni Colomer is a music critic, cultural manager, and lecturer. He has collaborated with institutions such as the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Schubertíada, and Juventudes Musicales de España, and has taken part in music outreach projects at festivals such as the Castell de Peralada.
