On the occasion of the performances of Antonín Dvořák’s Rusalka at the Gran Teatre del Liceu this June and July, we invite you to explore this fascinating opera through a lecture by Rosa Fernández, Professor of Music and member of the Royal Academies of Madrid and Barcelona.

In this session, Fernández will guide us through the symbolic and musical universe of this masterpiece of the Slavic repertoire, known for its lyrical atmosphere, the iconic “Song to the Moon”, and the staging of a story filled with mystery and emotion. She will also examine the stage direction by Christof Loy, who offers a fresh perspective on this opera of fairytale beauty and tragic destiny.

The lecture is open to all and is part of the Liceu’s outreach activities aimed at bringing audiences closer to the heart of the opera.

The session will later be available on the YouTube channel of Els Amics del Liceu.
