Ernesto Petti obtained his degree from the Accademia di Alto Perfezionamento Torre del Lago Puccini and was a member of the Plácido Domingo Centre for Perfection at the Palau de les Arts in Valencia.
Among his recent and upcoming commitments, notable performances include the role of David il Rabbino in L'Amico Fritz in Piacenza, Giorgio Germont (La Traviata) at the Teatro Lirico Cagliari, the Grand Théâtre d'Avignon, and on tours throughout Italy; Renato (Un ballo in maschera) at the NCPA in Beijing and in Piacenza, Ravenna, and Ferrara; Enrico (Lucia di Lammermoor) at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari, in a new production at the Stadtheater Basel, and in Palermo; Paolo (Simon Boccanegra) at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam; Carlo Gérard (Andrea Chénier) at the Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna; Conte di Luna (Il Trovatore), Marcello (La Bohème), and Ford (Falstaff) at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari; the debut of the role of Kyoto (Iris by Mascagni) at the Kozerthaus in Berlin; the debut of the role of Alfio (Cavalleria Rusticana) at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo; the debut of the role of Carlo (Ernani) in Piacenza and at the Vlamsee Oper; the debut of the role of the High Priest of Dagon in a new production of Samson et Dalila at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples; Lucia di Lammermoor at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin; and Nabucco in Oviedo and at the Staatstheater Mainz.
He makes his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
