In 2018, the young mezzo-soprano Eva Zaïcik won the award for Best Newcomer Singer at the Victoires de la Musique Classique, as well as the 2nd Prize at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Belgium and the 3rd Prize in the Voix Nouvelles competition.
She has performed with William Christie, Vincent Dumestre (as Dido in Dido and Aeneas), Hervé Niquet, Christophe Rousset (as Third Lady in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte at the Philharmonie de Paris), Philippe Herreweghe, or Leonardo García Alarcón, among others.
Recently, she appeared as Carmen and Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia) and Sélysette (Ariane et Barbe Bleue by Dukas) at the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse, Venus in Campra's Idoménée at the Opéra de Lille and the Staatsoper Berlin, Monteverdi's Vespro della beata Vergine with Pygmalion and Raphaël Pichon, conducted by Pierre Audi, and Paulina in Tchaikovsky's Pikovaia dama at the Theatres of Nice and Toulon, directed by Olivier Py.
She maintains a special bond with Justin Taylor in various baroque programs (with the album Come, dear shadow by Alpha Classics, and most recently Royal Handel).
She makes her debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
