Gerard Farreras is a member of the ensemble at Deutsche Oper Berlin.
In the 2023/24 season, Gerard debuted as Raimondo Bidebent (Lucia di Lammermoor), Timur (Turandot), and reprised roles such as Colline (La bohème), Don Basilio (Il barbiere di Siviglia), and Doctor Grenville (La traviata), among others.
He was a member of the Internationales Opernstudio at Staatsoper Stuttgart from 2020 to 2023, where he performed as Sarastro and Sprecher (Die Zauberflöte), Angelotti (Tosca), Uncle Bonzo (Madama Butterfly), Basilio (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Nikitic (Boris Godunov), Farfarello and Die Küchin (Die Liebe zu drei Orangen), Zúñiga (Carmen), among others.
He has received five special prizes at the 60th Tenor Viñas Competition and the Voci Verdiane Città di Busseto.
His performances include Anna Bolena at Les Arts (Valencia), The Nose at Teatro Real (Madrid), Otello in Pamplona, Tosca in Oviedo, Die Zauberflöte in Peralada, La traviata in Parma, La bohème with Simfònica del Vallès (Barcelona), and Messa da Requiem at the Berlin Philharmonie, among others.
Upcoming engagements include Lucia di Lammermoor at Deutsche Oper Berlin, Messa da Requiem at Baluarte (Pamplona), and Pulcinella with OSCyL, among others.
He makes his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
