Born in Madrid, he studied at the Higher School of Singing in the same city, as well as Drama and Law. A regular performer on the country’s main stages, in 2024, he debuted the role of Scarpia in Tosca at the Staatsoper Stuttgart, and next year he will perform Rigoletto for the first time at the Santa Fe Opera (USA). His operatic repertoire includes other titles such as Gianni Schicchi, Carmen, L'elisir d'amore, Roméo et Juliette, Dialogues des Carmélites, and La vida breve, as well as zarzuelas like Marina, El dúo de la Africana, and Luisa Fernanda. 

He has been directed by conductors such as Nicola Luisotti, Gustavo Gimeno, Ivor Bolton, and Guillermo García Calvo, and stage directors including Robert Wilson, Graham Vick, Deborah Warner, John Fulljames, and Calixto Bieito. His collaborations frequently include the Teatro Real (Billy Budd, Street Scene, which he reprised at the Monte Carlo Opera, Turandot, The Fiery Angel, and Madama Butterfly, among others), the opera season in A Coruña (Don Giovanni and I Puritani), Maestranza in Seville, and the Teatro de la Zarzuela (Curro Vargas, El gato montés, La Dolores, Pan y toros, and the title role in Las golondrinas). 

He made his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in the 2020/21 season with La traviata.
