Born in Tokyo in 1993 to a Japanese mother and New Zealand father, she trained at the Australian Ballet School and joined the Paris Opera Ballet in 2011. She has won international awards such as the Prix de Lausanne (2009) and the Prix Benois de la Danse (2016). In March 2023 she was named “Danseuse Étoile.”
