IT Dansa, the young dance company of the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona, once again presents its proposal for our young audience. This is a pedagogical project of the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona, created in 1996, aimed at the professionalization and refinement of young dancers.
Biterna is a choreography specially created for the opening performance of the 33rd Dansàneu, the Festival of Cultures of the Pyrenees in the Valls d’Àneu, by dancer and choreographer Aleix Martínez. The title of the piece refers to the imaginary place where, according to medieval beliefs, witches gathered to worship the devil.
Minus 16, by Israeli choreographer Ohad Naharin, features music ranging from cha-cha-cha and mambo to traditional Israeli songs—melodies that feel both familiar and delightful. The piece swiftly moves through various moods, from joy to melancholy, from intimacy to collective celebration.
Under the direction of Catherine Allard, the young dancers of IT Dansa present a performance full of vitality and exceptional artistic quality that will bring the Sant Cugat Auditorium to life. A lively and dynamic program with a highly contemporary and engaging language, capable of sparking an interest in dance in any audience.
