American soprano Jacquelyn Wagner regularly appears at leading opera houses and festivals including the Paris Opera, Teatro alla Scala, Opernhaus Zürich, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Salzburg Festival.

Celebrated for her interpretations of both German and Italian repertoire, her signature roles include Arabella, Marschallin (Der Rosenkavalier), Elsa (Lohengrin), Agathe (Der Freischütz), Leonore (Fidelio), Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Contessa (Le nozze di Figaro), Eva (Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg), Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus), Desdemona (Otello), Violetta (La Traviata) and Salome. She has also appeared as Magda in La rondine, Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte and Alcina in Handel’s opera of the same name.

Among the highlights of her career are performances at Teatro alla Scala under Myung-whun Chung and Daniele Gatti, at the Salzburg Festival with Christian Thielemann, and appearances at Carnegie Hall, the Royal Albert Hall and major European concert venues. Her concert repertoire includes Mahler’s Eighth Symphony, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem and Strauss’ Vier letzte Lieder.

Jacquelyn Wagner studied at the Manhattan School of Music and Oakland University of Michigan. She has received numerous international awards, including the Francisco Viñas Competition, the Renata Tebaldi Competition and a Fulbright Study Grant.

She made her debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in the 2008/09 with L'Ape Musicale and has returned with Götterdammerung (2015/16) and the Richard Strauss Concert  (2017/18).
