Born in Sakhalin, she studied at the Gretchaninov Music School in Moscow and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. She later refined her training with Dennis O’Neill, Elena Obraztsova, Richard Bonynge, Kiri Te Kanawa, and Alberto Zedda.
She has performed on stages such as La Monnaie in Brussels, De Nationale Opera in Amsterdam, the Opéra national de Paris, the Theater an der Wien, the Royal Opera House in London, and the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, as well as at the Salzburg, Pesaro, and Orange festivals.
She has worked with conductors including Marc Minkowski, Giovanni Antonini, Antonio Pappano, Alberto Zedda, René Jacobs, Fabio Biondi, and Diego Fasolis, among others, and has shared the stage with Plácido Domingo, Anna Netrebko, Kiri Te Kanawa, Joyce DiDonato, Juan Diego Flórez, and Ildebrando D’Arcangelo.
Her operatic repertoire includes composers such as Handel (Alessandro, Tamerlano, and Rinaldo), Mozart (Don Giovanni and Così fan tutte), Hasse (Siroe), Rossini (Otello), Meyerbeer (Les Huguenots), and Stravinsky (Le Rossignol).
She made her debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in the 2016/17 season with Don Giovanni and has returned with The Messiah (2023/24).
