The Armenian soprano Julietta Aleksanyan studied at the Yerevan State Conservatory and has won prizes at many international competitions, including the Belvedere Competition in South Africa and N. Rimsky-Korsakov Competition in Russia.
Her recent and upcoming engagements include her debut at Opéra National du Rhin as Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel, debut at Teatro San Carlo as the First Nymph in Rusalka. As an ensemble member at Staatstheater Mainz she performs such roles as Micaela in Carmen, Ilia in Idomeneo,Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel, Liu in Turandot, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte and Nannetta in Falstaff. At Dutch National Opera she performed Berta in Il barbiere di Siviglia, followed by Ein junger hirt in Tannhaüser, Carolina in Il matrimonio segreto, Clorinda in La cenerentola, the voice of the Falcon and the Guardian of the Threshold in Strauss’s Die Frau ohne Schatten, the First Maid in Der Zwerg, as well as Adina in L’Elisir d'Amore in a co-production for Dutch National Opera/ Reisopera/Opera Zuid.
She makes his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
