Born in Barcelona in 1996, Laura Brasó began her musical training at an early age, studying piano, viola, and choral singing. At the age of 14, she began vocal studies with mezzo-soprano Francesca Roig, and later trained in classical singing at the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu in Barcelona.
Throughout her career, she has taken masterclasses with renowned artists such as Nelly Miricioiu, Mariella Devia, Carlos Álvarez, Jaume Aragall, and Miquel Ortega, among others.
She has received several awards, including First Prize at the 15th International Music Competition of Les Corts (2019), and multiple prizes at the 6th Opera Singing Competition of Tenerife. She was a finalist at the 38th Singing Competition of Logroño (2021) and at the 59th Tenor Viñas International Singing Competition, where she won five special prizes. In 2023, she received Second Prize at the Logroño Singing Competition and at the 6th “Compostela Lírica” Competition. In 2024, she was awarded First Prize at the 41st Logroño International Singing Competition. Most recently, she was a finalist at the 2nd Cascais Opera International Competition in Portugal.
On stage, she made her operatic debut in 2015 as Frasquita in Bizet’s Carmen, a role she reprised at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville. Her repertoire includes, among others, the roles of Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Musetta (La Bohème), and Liù (Turandot). Upcoming engagements include the role of Micaela in Carmen and her debut in the upcoming season at the Teatro de la Zarzuela.
