We support young people in the development of an artistic project
After four editions of the participatory opera project El Monstre al Laberint, we are taking a step forward by giving the initiative a new dimension and format. We are launching the project Del Laberint als Somnis (From the Labyrinth to Dreams).
Del Laberint als Somnis is a new initiative that reaffirms the Liceu’s commitment to exploring ways to reach adolescent and young audiences through artistic and educational proposals that are engaging and transformative.
It also underscores our institution’s commitment to educational improvement through music and the arts. Through LiceuAprèn, we work in this direction, convinced that our actions are only meaningful if they are grounded in the reality of the educational world and supported by teachers, sharing challenges and learning together.
The Del Laberint als Somnis project is carried out with 24 secondary schools that have partnered with the Liceu for two academic years.
In the first year, the program is structured around the newly created performance La Torre dels Somnis (The Tower of Dreams), and in the second year, through the participatory opera project El Monstre al Laberint.
In the first year of the project, the focus is on creativity—both the creativity of the young participants and of the teaching teams.
With the support of:
We aim to support young people in developing an artistic project at their school that allows them to understand art and music as spaces to imagine and express what they want, what they think, what they know, and what they feel. We want to empower them in skills such as personal initiative, cooperation, and autonomy—not only in creating but also in executing and managing an artistic process. Through art, we aim to generate spaces for positive relationships and interactions, where respect, care, and inclusion become essential daily values.
At the Liceu, we will support these schools in developing their own artistic project by providing teachers with 40 hours of training and assigning each school an artist to assist them in this creative process.
Who is it aimed at?
