De Beer has been appointed Artistic Director of the Volksoper Wien starting in the 2022/23 season. Her current commitments include Aida at the Opéra National de Paris and Le nozze di Figaro at the festival of Aix-en-Provence.
The first title she directed at the Gran Teatre del Liceu was Les pêcheurs de perles in the 2018/19 season.
