Born in Uruguay, she completed her musical studies there, graduating in piano from the Municipal Conservatory of Rocha and in voice from the National School of Lyric Art and the University School of Music.
She has undertaken advanced training courses with soprano Myrta Garbarini (Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires), soprano María Orán (University of Santiago de Compostela), mezzo-soprano Raquel Pierotti (Barcelona), soprano Elaine Ortiz Arandes (Mozarteum Salzburg), and soprano Martine Surais (Paris).
She has won international competitions including the "Carlos Gomes" competition in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and the "Luis Cluzeau Mortet" competition in Montevideo, Uruguay, and was a finalist in the "Belvedere" competition in Buenos Aires and the "Tosti" competition in Brescia.
She made her debut at Teatro Solís, Uruguay's most prestigious theater, and has since been invited to participate in successive seasons. She has also performed in various theaters in her country, Argentina, Brazil, Italy, and Spain.
As a chorus artist, she was a permanent member of S.O.D.R.E. (Montevideo) from 1994 to 2003, the Festival di Fiesole (Florence) from 2003 to 2006, and since 2006 she has been a member of the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
