Trained at the Academy of Music in Zagreb, Croatia, Marko Mimica participated in the Young Singers Project at the Salzburg Festival in 2011. Subsequently, he was a member of the Ensemble at the Deutsche Oper Berlin from 2011 to 2016, where he performed roles such as Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro), Raimondo (Lucia di Lammermoor), Don Basilio (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Talbot (Maria Stuarda), Escamillo (Carmen), Lorenzo (I Capuleti e i Montecchi), Heinrich (Lohengrin), Colline (La bohème), Banquo (Macbeth), and Oroveso (Norma), among others.
He has appeared in theaters such as Opéra national and Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, Teatro Real in Madrid, Palau de les Arts in Valencia, Teatro Regio di Torino, Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Opera di Firenze, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Semperoper in Dresden, and Arena di Verona, as well as at festivals in Pesaro and Edinburgh.
He made his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in the 2015/16 season with Lucia di Lammermoor and has returned with I puritani and Luisa Miller (2018/19), Aida (2019/20), Norma (2021/22) and Turandot (2023/24).
