Catalan singer Marta Valero graduated with top honors in Classical and Contemporary Vocal Performance from the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMuC), where she also studied Lied with Assumpta Mateu, Francisco Poyato, and Mitsuko Shirai. 
She participated in and won the 11th Professionalization Course of the AAOS (Friends of the Opera of Sabadell Association – Òpera a Catalunya), dedicated to Rossini’s La Cenerentola, in which she sang the role of Angelina at the La Farándula Theatre in Sabadell. There, she also performed in other operatic productions, including the role of Giulietta in Offenbach’s Les contes d’Hoffmann, Flora in Verdi’s La Traviata, and the Second Lady in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte. 

At the Gran Teatre del Liceu, she sang the role of the Fifth Spirit in the grand production of Massenet’s Cendrillon. Other important operatic roles include: Volpino in Haydn’s Lo speziale; Earth in Los elementos by A. Literes; Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro and Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni by W.A. Mozart; Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia, Angelina and Tisbe in La Cenerentola by G. Rossini; and Dinah in Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti. 

She made her debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in the 2008/09 season with La Ventafocs, and has since returned in Allegro Vivace (2008/09–2019/20), Guillem Tell (2011/12–2018/19), Così FUN tutte (2012/13–2013/14), and Cendrillon (2013/14).
