Miguel Poveda

Miguel Poveda has prepared a unique, exclusive, and DISTINTO concert for our festival, as part of the flamenco series De Cajón! Returning to the majestic Gran Teatre del Liceu, and in addition to some of the songs from his latest album —the deeply moving Poema del Cante Jondo, which we presented at the Palau last year—, the singer from Badalona will share new music celebrating the 20th anniversary of his Catalan album Desglaç. He will also revisit songs from earlier albums and perform unreleased repertoire in a special premiere.

In this DISTINTO concert, Poveda won’t be alone: there will be collaborations guaranteed to deliver raw emotion. Alongside his lifelong musicians, under the musical direction of maestro Joan Albert Amargós and the great Jesús Guerrero on guitar, Poveda returns to Barcelona, he has promised, full of surprises —a special gift to the land where he was born and raised. Without a doubt, it will be his most emotional and DISTINTO concert.
