Christopher Maltman has won worldwide fame for his interpretation of Don Giovanni, a character he has played in London, Berlin, Cologne, Salzburg, Amsterdam, Toulouse, San Sebastian, New York, Beijing and Chicago. He is also in growing demand for Verdi roles, notably Posa, Simon Boccanegra, Count di Luna and Guy de Montfort and – in forthcoming productions – Don Carlo di Vargas, Rigoletto and Germont.

His performances have won acclaim from audiences and critics everywhere and many have been recorded, among them John Corigliano's The Ghosts of Versailles at the Los Angeles Opera, which was awarded a Grammy.

He has appeared at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Iphigenie auf Tauris (2010/2011), La bohème (2011/2012) and the concert "Netrebko, Eyvazov and Maltman sing Verdi" (2019/20)
