Thanks to the awards she won while a student at the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca (Romania), soprano Anita Hartig made her debut as Mimì (La bohème) at the National Opera in Bucharest in 2006.
Her latest engagements have included the following roles: Amelia Grimaldi (Simon Boccanegra) in Paris; Violetta (La traviata) in New York, Paris and London; Mimì in New York, Vienna, Madrid and Berlin; Micaëla (Carmen) in San Francisco; and Liù (Turandot) in New York.
We have seen her at the Liceu in La traviata (2014/15) and Turandot (2019/20).
