The Bulgarian-born soprano Krasimira Stoyanova originally studied the violin. Her debut as a professional opera singer took place in Sofia in 1995.
Since then she has worked with many distinguished conductors including Daniel Barenboim, Riccardo Chailly, Myung-Whun Chung, Riccardo Muti, Daniele Gatti, Bernard Haiting, Manfred Honeck, Mariss Jansons and Fabio Luisi.
We have seen her at the Liceu in Otello (2005/06), Luisa Miller (2007/08), Simon Boccanegra (2008/09), Il trovatore (2009/10) and Faust (2011/12).
