This is the first visit to the Liceu of Italian conductor Arrivabeni. He is a former assistant conductor of the Bologna opera and was music director of the Opera of Wallonia from 2008 to 2017. He graduated in composition and conducting from the Parma conservatory, where he studied under Daniele Gatti. A specialist in Italian composers, such as Rossini, Donizetti and Verdi, he has worked in many opera houses in the course of his career, conducting such titles as La traviata, L’elisir d’amore and Rigoletto in Venice, Paris and New York respectively.
