Penique Productions

Exhibition

When space transforms, perception does too.

Visits: Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Penique Productions, an artistic collective founded in Barcelona in 2007, has developed its own language in the field of immersive installations. Their signature style is the creation of ephemeral spaces using large monochrome plastic inflatable structures that transform existing architecture into an entirely new universe.

These interventions play with the viewer's perception by altering the relationship between body and space. By completely covering the environment with a translucent membrane, the familiar disappears, giving way to an immersive atmosphere where light, color, and the sensation of weightlessness become the only references. Thus, historical buildings, galleries, or urban spaces dissolve into settings for a unique sensory experience.

Each installation by Penique Productions adapts to the space it occupies, establishing a dialogue with its original structure. The monumentality and simplicity of the material contrast with the conceptual complexity of the work, which explores themes such as temporality, transformation, and the relationship between fullness and emptiness.

With their intervention in the Main Hall of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, they create a space within a space; an artistic proposal that goes beyond a mere architectural intervention to become a perceptual journey—an invitation to rediscover the space from a new, unexpected, and unpredictable perspective.
