Since her professional operatic debut at the Latvian National Opera in Riga as Micaëla in Carmen, she has appeared on the stages of nearly all the world’s leading opera houses, including the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, the Opéra National de Paris, the Metropolitan Opera, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Staatsoper Berlin, the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, Opernhaus Zürich, and the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, as well as the Vienna State Opera and many other major concert venues.

During the 2024–2025 season, Pretty Yende returned to the Metropolitan Opera in Les Contes d’Hoffmann. She subsequently made her Puccini debut as Magda in La Rondine at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo and concluded 2024 with La Fille du Régiment at the Bayerische Staatsoper, marking her house debut there as well. At the beginning of 2025, she opened the year at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in a new production and her debut in the title role of Händel’s Semele, a role that also brought her back to the Royal Opera House later in the season. At the Teatro Real, she continued her activity with another role debut, Ismene in Mozart’s Mitridate, Re di Ponto. She also reprised Lucia di Lammermoor at the Semperoper Dresden and returned to the Teatro di San Carlo with La Fille du Régiment. Among her further role debuts of the season were Lina in Verdi’s Stiffelio at the Konzerthaus Dortmund and Leonora in Verdi’s Il Trovatore.

On the concert stage, Pretty Yende performed Barber’s Knoxville: Summer of 1915 with the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, gave a gala recital at the Vienna State Opera and starred in a gala concert at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées. On 7 December 2024, she took part in the ceremonial reopening concert of Notre-Dame de Paris, performing Amazing Grace.

She made her debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in the 2011/12 season with the concert Una altra nit de Montserrat Caballé and has returned with Don Pasquale (2014/15), I puritani (2018/19) and La traviata (2020/21).
