Recital Alain Planès

The celebrated pianist will immerse us in the universe of Miquel Barceló

Organized by the Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation in collaboration with the Gran Teatre del Liceu

Alain Planès (Lyon, 1948), prestigious French pianist and conductor, has explored both classical and contemporary repertoire. A friend of Miquel Barceló, Planès is passionate about painting and enamored with poetry. For this recital, he has prepared a repertoire for the occasion that will immerse us in the universe of Miquel Barceló, with works by Satie, Debussy, and Mompou, among others.

The program includes a very special surprise, as a piece by the renowned composer Francisco Coll will be premiered, inspired by the work Ball de carne by the Balearic painter.

The composition is commissioned by the Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation on the occasion of the exhibition "Barceló. Ceramics. We are all Greeks" by Miquel Barceló.
