Riccardo Fassi is one of the most outstanding young basses of his generation. He began his artistic career as Masetto in Don Giovanni at the Teatro Sociale in Como. Since then, he has made debuts at prestigious international opera houses with a repertoire ranging from Mozart to Verdi.
He has appeared at many of the world’s leading opera houses, including the Vienna State Opera, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Paris Opera, the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin, the Royal Opera House in London, Teatro Regio in Turin, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, Teatro Massimo in Palermo, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the Arena di Verona.
Recent engagements include Le nozze di Figaro at Santa Fe Opera, the Vienna State Opera and the Berlin State Opera; Il trovatore at the Royal Opera House, Teatro Regio di Parma and Berlin; I due Foscari at Teatro La Fenice; La bohème at Teatro Regio di Torino; Anna Bolena at Deutsche Oper Berlin and Teatro Verdi in Trieste; as well as Macbeth in Bologna and Adelaide di Borgogna in Pesaro.
He makes his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
