American tenor Ryan Capozzo is a graduate of the Yale School of Music with a Master of Musical Arts degree, where he was awarded the Phyllis Curtin Career Entry Prize and has recently finished his tenure in the Ryan Opera Center at the Lyric Opera of Chicago where he sang, in addition to multiple roles, Die Steuermann in Der fliegende Holländer. In the 2025-2026, Mr. Capozzo will sing the Prince in Rusalka with Irish National Opera, Don José in Carmen with Seattle Opera, Narraboth in Salome with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and cover Matteo in Arabella with the Metropolitan Opera.
In the 2024-2025 season, Mr. Capozzo made his Metropolitan Opera debut singing The Voice of a Young Man in Die Frau ohne Schatten. He also covered the role of Narraboth in Salome at the Metropolitan Opera, and sang Albert in The Makropulos Affair with Scottish Opera. In the summer of 2024, he was a participant in both the Aix-en-Provence Academie, as well as the Internationale Meistersinger Akademie in Germany.
He makes his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
