Japanese dancer trained at the Setsuko Hirano Academy. Winner of the 2001 Prix de Lausanne, he joined The Royal Ballet in London, where he is a principal dancer. Distinguished for his power and sensitivity in roles such as Albrecht, Espada, and Onegin.
