Between mystery and beauty lies 'Requiem' by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (Salzburg, 1756 - Vienna, 1791). The Austrian composer and pianist is considered one of the greatest geniuses in the history of classical music. His works span almost all musical genres of the time, from operas and symphonies to chamber music and concertos. He is known for his melodic beauty, harmonic complexity, and emotional depth. At just 35 years old, Mozart left an immense legacy with works such as 'Requiem', 'The Magic Flute', and 'Don Giovanni'.

In this conference, you will learn the secrets behind the composition of Requiem, the historical circumstances surrounding its creation, and how this incomplete work became a symbol of transcendence and emotion.

The conference will be presented by Rosa Massagué, journalist, music critic, and regular collaborator of Amigos del Liceu.
