Soprano. Born and raised in Germany, she is a versatile and highly awarded artist. She has starred internationally in leading roles in works such as Les contes d'Hoffmann (Antonia), Zanetto (Silvia), Il trovatore (Leonora), Turandot (Liù), Suor Angelica (Suor Angelica), La traviata (Violetta), Dialogues des Carmélites (Blanche), and Die Zauberflöte (Pamina), among others. She has also performed as a soloist in major works such as Bizet’s Te Deum and Orff’s Carmina Burana. Furthermore, she has given recitals at prestigious concert venues such as the Puccini Festival Torre del Lago, Carnegie Hall, the Metropolitan Club, the Berliner Philharmonie, the Jugendstil-Festhalle Landau, Cambridge University in England, and several concert halls in Italy.

Carolina López Moreno is the winner of the 8th Elizabeth Connell International Singing Competition and the First Prize of the 18th International Opera Singers Festival “Marie Kraja” at the National Opera Theatre of Tirana in Albania. In 2021, she received the Rapallo Opera Festival Award at the “7th Concorso Lirico Portofino” and was a finalist at the 58th International Tenor Viñas Competition at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.

Among her recent engagements, notable performances include her debut as Santuzza in a world-premiere version of Cavalleria rusticana by Pietro Mascagni at the Festspielhaus Baden Baden with Thomas Hengelbrock, the title role of Adriana Lecouvreur at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège, her debut in Madama Butterfly at the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago and in Florence, her debut as Magda in La Rondine at the Teatro Regio in Turin, among others.

She will debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
