Conditions and regulations

General conditions

Ticket refunds
Tickets will not be refunded or exchanged, except if the performance is cancelled.

Program changes
The Liceu may, if circumstances require it, modify dates, times, programs and performers, as well as cancel the performance.

Ticket prices
Ticket prices will increase once a seating area exceeds 70% occupancy.

The Liceu reserves the right to increase ticket prices if the CPI rises above the official forecast. Applicable taxes will be applied to ticket prices.

Ticket resale
Resale is prohibited unless carried out through the Butaca Lliure feature. The Liceu does not guarantee the authenticity of tickets if they are not purchased through official sales points.

In such cases, if access to the Theatre is denied, all liability is disclaimed.

Ticket and subscription collection
The ID of the holder or a photocopy with signed authorization must be presented. Subscription cards are sent by postal mail.

Subscription performance changes
Subscribers may exchange their assigned performance tickets for another performance of the same production by paying the difference if the chosen ticket is more expensive.

The first change will be free of charge for Butaca Fixa subscribers.

Printing tickets included in the subscription
Subscribers may print the tickets included in their subscription via the website liceubarcelona.cat (Personal Area).

Tickets can also be printed at the Box Office with a cost of €1 per ticket (subject to change).

Duplicate subscription cards
In case of loss or theft of the subscription card, a duplicate may be requested. The card reprint service costs €10.

This cost may vary throughout the year.

Cancellation and denial of subscriptions
The Theatre reserves the right to cancel or deny renewal of subscriptions for disciplinary or organizational reasons or due to non-payment of any installment.

Subscription renewal
Renewal of Butaca Fixa subscriptions is automatic, but it is not considered formalized until payment has been made. Renewal is made for the same seat, which may be changed during the reserved period. However, due to internal organizational reasons, the Theatre does not guarantee renewal of the same seat. If this occurs, the Theatre will offer the subscriber an alternative seat similar to the one previously held.

Flexible subscriptions are not automatically renewed. It is necessary to select performances and seats again each season.

Installment payments
If the subscription is paid in installments, failure to pay one installment will result in full payment of the entire subscription being charged, plus bank fees. The subscription must be set up as a direct debit.

Recordings and technical restrictions
In cases of recording and/or broadcast of a performance (television, cinema or radio), or for technical reasons, the Theatre reserves the right to change the location of some seats, with prior notice and always to areas of the same or higher category. When this is not possible, alternative dates will be proposed or a refund will be issued.
