Tenor Gonzalo Quinchahual studied with José Quilapi, Sebastian Ferrada, Yijie Shi, John Norris, Eytan Pessen, Matthias Rexroth, and Cristina Gallardo-Dômas.
He has portrayed roles such as Gastone (La traviata), Don Basilio (Le nozze di Figaro), Remendado (Carmen), Mime (Siegfried), and Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni).
In the realm of chamber music, he has performed as a soloist in numerous concerts during the Bach-Santiago cycle season, where the Chilean capital became the first in South America to interpret all of J.S. Bach's cantatas. He has also sung in works such as Mozart's Requiem, Bach's St. Matthew Passion, Benjamin Britten's Serenade for Tenor, Horn, and Strings, Handel's Messiah, Puccini's Messa di gloria, etc.
Starting from the 2023/24 season, he is a member of the International Opera Studio at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin.
He makes his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
