Hungarian-Romanian baritone, he rose to prominence in his career after portraying the lead role in Handel's Saul as a student. Later, he joined the Vienna Volksoper and the Opera Studio of the Deutsche Staatsoper before becoming a member of the Deutsche Staatsoper.

There, he played various roles, collaborating with renowned directors like René Jacobs and Sir Simon Rattle. Orendt took part in additional commitments at prestigious festivals and stages, performing roles such as Count Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro) or Guglielmo (Così fan tutte) at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Glyndebourne Festival, or the Royal Opera House, among others. His artistic versatility shines through as he interprets both leading and supporting roles, ranging from baroque opera to contemporary works.

In concerts, Orendt has performed in notable works, including Ein deutsches Requiem with the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and Handel's Apollo with the Finnish Baroque Orchestra. A three-time winner of the Francesc Viñas International Singing Competition, Gyula Orendt has established himself as a prominent baritone in the world of opera and classical music.

He made his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in the 2016/17 season with Le nozze di Figaro.
