Born in Mataró, he began studying solfège, piano, and violin with Albert Nieto. He later studied voice at the Conservatori del Liceu and obtained his advanced degree at the Conservatori Superior de Música de Barcelona. He has received instruction from Francisco Lázaro, Aldo Danieli, Bonaldo Giaiotti, Ana Luisa Chova, and Carlos Chausson.

He made his professional debut in 1999 performing the role of Manrico (Il trovatore), and since then has been a regular collaborator at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.

He has performed in theatres and auditoriums in cities such as Barcelona, Madrid, Oviedo, Bilbao, Seville, and Menorca, as well as in countries including Russia, Austria, Germany, Italy, France, Peru, and Denmark, among others.

His repertoire includes titles such as Carmen, Norma, Aida, La forza del destino, Pagliacci, Un ballo in maschera, Nabucco, Der fliegende Holländer (The Flying Dutchman), among others.

He made his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in the 1999/2000 season with Turandot, and has since returned on numerous occasions, most recently with Rigoletto (2016/17), Attila and Poliuto (2017/18), Aida (2019/20), Ariadne auf Naxos (2021/22), and Parsifal (2022/23).
