Maxime Nourissat is a French movement choreographer and actor trained at Annie Fratellini’s school, where he studied pantomime and “physical acting” with Marcel Marceau. He continued his studies under Robert Heddle-Roboth and trained in fencing, capoeira, and kabuki with Shiro Daïmon.
For over two decades, he has worked in circus, theater, opera, dance, and concerts around the world. On the opera stage, he has performed in L’elisir d’amore at Glyndebourne, The Magic Flute in Aix-en-Provence, Amsterdam, Basel, and London, Le chemin des cloches in Aix-en-Provence and Amsterdam, as well as Benvenuto Cellini (directed by Terry Gilliam and Leah Hausmann) in Rome, Barcelona, Amsterdam, London, and Paris.
He has also toured worldwide with Marcel Marceau’s new company in the productions Le chapeau Melon, Materia Prima, and Les Contes Fantastiques.
He made his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in the 2015/16 season with Benvenuto Cellini.
