These awards, the highest honorary distinction given by the institution, are celebrated within the framework of the 25th anniversary of the Theater's reopening. Since their creation, the medals have been awarded with the aim of elevating the work, dedication, and activities carried out by individuals, institutions, or groups in different cultural fields, emphasizing the prestige, internationalization, and recognition of culture and, more specifically, the Gran Teatre del Liceu as a reference in the operatic world.

This year, the merits are classified into seven categories: artistic, institutional, service or special dedication, philanthropy, patronage, dance, and composition. In all these fields, the awardees have worked at an artistic or professional level of exceptional quality, providing outstanding or eminent services that clearly make them deserving of this distinction.

The theater acknowledges his willingness towards the Liceu, his full availability at all times, and the deep affection he has shown towards the theater, significantly contributing to its growth and prestige.

The institutional Gold Medal awarded to Amics del Liceu recognizes their support of the activities of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, as well as the promotion and dissemination of opera and music everywhere through the numerous activities they organize around lyrical arts and all artistic forms. Mr. Ramon Agenjo stands out for his philanthropic involvement in the cultural, sports, and social spheres in all their facets, highlighting him as a strong advocate of talent and its impact on society. As an entrepreneur and enthusiastic patron of the city of Barcelona and its institutions, the Liceu awards him the Philanthropy Gold Medal for his support of culture, opera, and music.

With the awarding of the Patronage Gold Medal, the Liceu distinguishes Telefónica for its involvement, especially in its centenary year, for its unwavering support of the Theater since its reconstruction, ensuring its viability. Additionally, its commitment to the Liceu's audiovisual project and its promotion of culture and art through innovative and creative digital formats is highlighted, establishing a constant relationship between cultural values and technological innovation.
