Olesya Golovneva was awarded Best Singer of the Year for her performances in Anna Bolena and Luisa Miller, and was nominated for Germany’s Faust Award for Rusalka at Cologne Opera, a role that has become her signature (Madrid, Dresden, Cologne, and Wiesbaden). In the 2023/2024 season at the Staatstheater Wiesbaden, she appears in a new production of Turandot and returns to the Deutsche Oper Berlin with a staged version of Verdi’s Requiem. Among her most notable recent engagements are Káťa Kabanová at the Hamburg Staatsoper; Les Huguenots (Valentine) with Juan Diego Flórez at the Deutsche Oper Berlin; leading soprano roles in Il trittico at the Staatstheater Wiesbaden; Otello in Frankfurt and Wiesbaden; Eugene Onegin in Hamburg, Helsinki, and Cologne; Luisa Miller at Malmö Opera; Simon Boccanegra (Amelia) at Marseille Opera; Don Carlo in Frankfurt, and La bohème (Mimì) in Malmö and Frankfurt. She has sung the title role in Rusalka in Christof Loy’s production at Madrid’s Teatro Real and at Les Arts in Valencia.  

She makes her debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
