The lyric coloratura soprano, born in Darmós (Tarragona), entered the world of the arts through dance (classical and Spanish), piano, and choral singing. At the age of 14, she began her vocal studies and, at 16, made her first appearance in a contemporary opera at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya (TNC). She continued her training until obtaining a degree in Singing and Performance from the Conservatori del Liceu in Barcelona.

She made her operatic debut in 2013 at the Rossini Opera Festival, performing the role of Folleville (Il viaggio a Reims).

After gaining recognition in several competitions—notably the Montserrat Caballé International Singing Competition (2014), the Josep Mirabent i Magrans Competition in Sitges (2015), and the Tenor Viñas Competition (2016), where she won eight prizes—her career has taken her to renowned theatres and festivals such as the Gran Teatre del Liceu (Barcelona), Teatro Real (Madrid), Teatro de la Zarzuela (Madrid), Teatro Campoamor (Oviedo), Teatro Regio (Turin), Teatro Verdi (Salerno), Teatro de la Maestranza (Seville), Palau de la Música (Barcelona), Tchaikovsky Theatre (Perm, Russia), Teatro del Maggio (Florence), Teatro Massimo (Palermo), Palau de les Arts (Valencia), the Salzburg Festival, the Donizetti Opera Festival (Bergamo), the Castell de Peralada Festival, Músicas en Fête (Théâtre Antique d’Orange, France), Fauteuils d’Orchestre (Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Paris), Rossini in Wildbad (Germany), among others.

Sara Blanch has already performed more than 27 operatic roles, including Norina (Don Pasquale), Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor), Matilde (Matilde di Shabran), Fiorilla (Il turco in Italia), Adina (L’elisir d’amore), the Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte), Adèle (Le comte Ory), Marie (La fille du régiment), and Zerbinetta (Ariadne auf Naxos), among others. In addition to her operatic activity, she maintains an extensive concert career, encompassing symphonic repertoire, oratorio, song, and recital.

She made her debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in the 2016/17 season with Thaïs, and has since returned for L’italiana in Algeri (2018/19), L’enigma di Lea (2018/19), Don Giovanni (2020/21), Ariadne auf Naxos (2021/22), Don Pasquale (2022/23), and Un ballo in maschera (2023/24).
