After graduating in law in 1990, he furthered his vocal studies with Antonio Blancas and Alfredo Kraus. He has sung in numerous theaters and auditoriums, including Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse, Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf, Teatro Regio in Parma, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Wiener Staatsoper, Teatro Nacional in Santiago de Chile, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, and at the Bregenz Festival, as well as in major Spanish theaters, auditoriums, and festivals. 

Among his recent commitments are Wurm (Luisa Miller) in Naples, Ferrando (Così fan tutte) and Colline (La bohème) in São Paulo, Sparafucile (Rigoletto) in Oviedo, and Banco (Macbeth) and Rodolfo (La sonnambula) in Vigo, among others. 

He made his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu during the 1998/99 season with "Alcina," returning for "D.Q. Don Quijote" in Barcelona (2000/01), "Don Giovanni" (2002/03), "La bohème" (2011/12), "Madama Butterfly" and "L’enigma di Lea" (2018/19), "La traviata" and "Otello" (2020/21), and "Tosca" (2022/23).
