Jehanne Amzal

Soprano Jehanne Amzal received her training at the Maîtrise Notre-Dame de Paris under the direction of Patrick Marco.

During this period, she performed alongside Bryn Terfel, Matthias Goerne, Delphine Haidan, John Nelson, and Christoph Eschenbach. In 2013, she moved to the Royal Northern College of Music and studied with Thomas Schulze. She further specialized in early music at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel and at the Conservatoire du Paris under the guidance of Isabelle Poulenard, Stéphane Fuget, and Ulrich Messtahler.

She has pursued masterclasses with Edda Moser, Regina Werner, Véronique Gens, Lynne Dawson, Julius Drake, John Tomlinson, Chantal Santón, and Léontina Vaduva, among others. Jehanne Amzal won the third prize at the Leopold Bélan International Singing Competition in 2018 and was a semifinalist in the Corneille International Early Music Competition in Rouen in 2019.

In the 2022/23 season, she made her debut at the Concertgebouw, Théâtre des Champs Élysées, Radio France, Opera de Lille, Müpa in Budapest, and Musiikkitalo in Helsinki. She is currently supported by the Franco-Swiss Ripas Foundation and holds a scholarship from the Abbaye de Royaumont Foundation.

She makes her debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
