Originally from Lima (Peru), Leonardo Domínguez began his training in Buenos Aires with the teacher Adriana Romero. He later entered the Instituto Superior de Arte of the Teatro Colón (ISATC), where he graduated with top honours, studying vocal technique with Elisabeth Canis and repertoire with Sergio Giai.

Throughout his career he has received several awards and recognitions, including second prize at the National Lyric Singing Competition of Radio Filarmonía (Peru), as well as being a finalist in the Ópera Mendoza Competition (Argentina) and the III Latin American Lyric Singing Competition (Costa Rica).

As a soloist, he has performed the role of Zúñiga in Carmen by Bizet with the Fundació Òpera Catalunya.

Since 2025 he has been a member of the Chorus of the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
